We have assembled our new Teschner frame--check out the photos below.  Click here for Campy Only road test results

When we asked for a frame to review for this site, Peter Teschner chose his "Euro Elite" model, shown below.  The Euro Elite is a showpiece of Teschner's craftsmanship and the products of tubing and component maker Easton.  The entire frame traces its lineage back to Easton, including:

  • Easton's latest "GX-2" Scandium tubeset, which features tapered, shaped, and butted tubes of Scandium-alloy aluminum
  • Easton's carbon "E-Stay" at the rear end
  • Easton's latest EC90-SL carbon fork, their lightest yet

Teschner's alliance with Easton even extends to the head tube, which bears Easton's trademark "E" symbol.

We took advantage of the frame's light weight to set up a climbing machine built for long, sustained climbing efforts.  Our main component choice was Centaur (with a little Daytona), paired with Chorus brakes.  We're showing the bike below with the Scirocco wheelset, a great and economical wheelset that's light, strong, and aero.

Red, white, and blue paint scheme is very nicely done.  Down tube is ovalized at the bottom bracket and features several different shapes as it travels from head tube downward

We built our frame with ITM bars and stem; these were later changed out to an FSA combo that includes their carbon "K-Force" bars:

Another view of the top tube and rear triangle.  Seat tube is flared--smaller at the top, larger at the bottom.

Top tube features a teardrop shape that's larger at the bottom. The top tube is also flared at the front, reducing in size toward the seat tube.

Teschner now specs Easton's latest "EC90-SL (SuperLite)" fork, the lightest fork available, at 350 grams.
