July 2003--We've posted photos of the Campy Only Teschner "Euro Elite"!
Part of the Campy lifestyle is experiencing the scenery and landscape of foreign lands (or even places close to home) from the saddle of your Campy-equipped bicycle.  In fact, when we asked our readers, 76% of those who responded said they would take their bicycle on vacation with them.

Here are vacation photos sent to us by our readers.  If you have a photo (or photos) you would like to share here, email us: webmaster@campyonly.com

webmaster@campyonly.com took her Campy-equipped Waterford on a ten-week cross-country cycling trip (raising funds for charity) in 2002 that started in Seattle and eventually headed east across the US. She's shown here on the Northern California coast. That yellow thing on Beth's bike, BTW, is a Bicycle Stereo--she calls it a "lifesaver" on long rides.  Check it out at http://www.bicyclestereo.com/  bethmcoast.jpg (149664 bytes)
webmaster@campyonly.com rode his Campy-equipped Pesenti Fly to the top of Iseran pass with a few friends this year. (Show in the photo top are friends Gert, Jon, Mats and Mikael)  Mikael was also on TV for a few seconds during Eurosport's coverage of Lance Armstrong's ascent of La Plange. liseran.jpg (63184 bytes)

webmaster@campyonly.com took this shot of his Marinoni Ciclo (full Athena) standing in front of a Roman bridge and a French chateau in the Pays-Basque region of France. He writes, "This was on the first day of my trip in late May retracing the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route from the Pyrenees and the French border across Northern Spain." file0008.jpg (86202 bytes)
webmaster@campyonly.com stopped on a century-old bridge in Pennsylvania to take this shot with his custom Waterford. frank_knox_pa.jpg (79938 bytes)
webmaster@campyonly.com took his Campy-equipped bike on the Paris-Roubaix course in June 2002:
'"Last June I went to france with four friends to ride the Paris-Roubaix Cyclotourirste, wich is organized every two years by the VeloClub Roubaix. You can chose among three different courses, we rode the real stuff: 267 km on the SAME COURSE RIDDEN BY THE PROS IN THE SPRING CLASSIC. It was a great experience and I strongly recommend it to every cyclist, we were so hooked that we are already thinking to the next 2004 edition. I'm the tallest guy of the five, with moustaches and riding with a black jersey. The shot of Francesco's hands was taken after the ride, note that the poor fellow rides shimaNO so I think and told him that he got what he deserved.  "The trophy" is what you get if you finish the 267 km ride, together with a Diploma saying that "Mr. finished the Paris-Roubaix Cyclo on the same course than the pro racers" (obviouslly in French).

webmaster@campyonly.com sent these notes about his vacation shots:

Ponte Vecchio is the famous 14 Century bridge across the river in Firenze. That's me and my touring buddy Mark Janisse. He is on a Trek (a copy of Lance's bike except for his is tutto record X. wise man). I'm on my '87 Pogliaghi ( pronounced "pretty -ugly") with Record 9 and racing triple component mix.)

San Gimignano is the famed tower city. I stopped at the very first view you get having ridden that morning from Firenze and coming in from the northwest approach. That seat post is a Thudbuster due to my back problems which have mostly healed. I don't use it on the new Della Santa with Record X.
That's a shot of Tomassini's custom frame building jig and then me and Irio as I was getting fitted for a frame order.

Here is webmaster@campyonly.com of Macon, Georgia, is shown here ascending the Alpe d'Huez on a rest day during the 2002 Tour de France.  Chris writes,

Seeing all the great bikes on and around the TdF caused a serious case of  bike lust. I bought a Look 381i built with Record 10 and Campy Eurus wheels as soon as I got back to the U.S. I still have the "old" Guerciotti, though, along with my 1972 Motobecane built with Campy Nuovo Record. Following the tradition, my 15-year-old son built up his Colnago Dream Plus with Chorus 10 also.
