The Richard Sachs/CYBC Cyclocross Team is returning for its 9th consecutive season in the dirt, with their signature red & white bikes and kit.

"This is the longest running, most successful cross gig in town", stated Team Director, sponsor, and cyclocross racer, the Connecticut-based frame builder Richard Sachs.

"We continue to build on the strength of past superstars such as three-time USCF Cyclocross National Champion Jonathan Page (now a European-based professional 'crosser racing for Cervelo in Europe) and Espoirs Cyclocross National bronze medalist and Duathlon World Championship silver medalist Tyler Johnson (recently signed by Redline for the 2005/06 cyclocross season). The team enters this season with yet another solid core of talent primed to stamp their mark on the Team's history."

Returning to the Team is the 1999 Espoirs Cyclocross National Championship silver medalist and former World Championship team member, Justin Spinelli. The youngest American ever to race the Giro d'Italia, with Farm Frites in 2000, Justin has since raced with Team Saeco, Navigators, and most recently TARGETRAINING.

Also returning is multi-time USCF Cyclocross National Champion (Junior, Espoirs, and Collegiate) and recently-married Alicia Genest-Hamblen, who is now set to continue her winning ways in the Elite category.

Joining Justin and Alicia will be two undiscovered talents that have the potential to make the big dance on a regular basis.

Noah Taylor is a strong, young New Hampshire racer who has come into his own over the past two seasons and will be a threat in the Elite class.

Connecticut-based Bryan Hayes has been moving steadily through the Espoirs ranks, and is setting his sights for a breakthrough season and a slot on the USA's World Championship team.

Richard Sachs/CYBC stalwart, and former Women's 30+ National Champion Katrina Davis is taking the 2005/06 season off to pursue an even greater challenge ... parenthood! We wish her the very best, and look forward to having her back for the 2006/07 season.

The team will have a split focus this season, contesting both the VERGE New England Championship Cyclocross Series and the VERGE Mid-Atlantic Cyclocross Series.

We also expect to make a strong showing in the Crank Brothers U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross, all leading up the USCF Cyclocross National Championships in Providence, RI where the team will try to extend its 8-consecutive year medal streak and go for its 10th Cyclocross National Championship since 1997.

Sachs goes on to say, "Team Red would like to extend a special thank you to Crank Brothers for their continued support of the U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross—a series that will surely has already helped elevate the level of cyclocross talent in America."

At RGM Watch Company, based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, watchmaker Roland Murphy directs his staff of 7 to create some of the world's finest handmade timepieces. Not many brands exist today that will make a single watch or even a small series on the demand of a customer, but at RGM Watch Company, custom-made watches are the specialty. The realm of the hands-on watchmaker is what helps set RGM apart from other watchmaking firms. RGM believes Richard Sachs brings the same attention to detail to creating his bicycle frames, and as such, are proud to sponsor the Richard Sachs professional cyclocross team.
