About the Town Bike:

This track frame was built in 1953 by Mr. Theo Parsons of Manchester England. Theo was a bicycle racer in the 30's and 40's, and had a bicycle shop and frame-building business in the 50's and 60's. He is now 88, and lives on a farm in North Yorkshire. The bike is built with Reynolds 531 double-butted tubes, forks and stays, and is equipped with a Campagnolo Record pista group, Super Champion clincher rims, a Cinelli stem, a Brooks saddle, a Regina Oro chain, and a Silca Impero pump. It has retired from racing, and now makes occasional fair-weather jaunts to local spots of scenic interest.
