10spd crank/chainrings with 9spd drivetrain

My question is pretty simple, will modern 10spd Campy crank and chainrings work with a 9spd drivetrain?

I'm thinking about switching to a compact 10spd front and a rear 9spd 12-23.

In case you need to know my setup it is as follows (all circa 2002):
-- Veloce 9spd shifters
-- Campy 9spd cassette (sprockets)
-- Campy 9spd chain
-- Daytona front der.
-- Veloce rear der.

Bike is a F.Moser Forma.

it will work fine - though while you're at it you should probably replace the chain too. you will find a 10 sp chain shifts better.
