How many star washers?

I just got in a new set of 07 Record brakes. The front has 2 star washers on the mounting bolt. Are you supposed to run both washers?

(Too bad the nut for the front brake is too short. Not sure why Campy doesn't ship all 3 sizes in the box. Oh well.)

Followup question:

I ordered the longer brake nut, BR-RE427. The package it arrived in indicated it was the proper part number. However, the nut is steel and has a hex interface rather than a Torx interface. The rear brake nut is either aluminum or titanium and has a Torx interface.

How can I order the proper nut? Looking at the 06 spare parts PDF I see the nut has the same part number as last year's nut, so I can kind of understand the hex head part, but I assumed Record nuts were not steel.

It is very difficult to order Campy parts where I live. Half of the time my shop tells me they can't get the part at all.

I'd just like the front and rear nut to match.

That kind of sucks.

If you look at the pdfs for '07, the new Record brakes have all new numbers for the different length nuts EXCEPT for the longest one which stayed the same as '06, BR-RE427. Its possible that there is a new longer 24mm alloy nut with TORX, but Campy missed that in their editing of the spares parts book. With all those numbers and changes there are bound to be mistakes.
There probably is a new part number, but right now only Campy knows what it is.

I know somebody who works directly with Campagnolo Italy (he has my old job). I will send him an e-mail this weekend and try to get an answer about this, for you on Monday or Tuesday.
