Triomphe group- any value?

Postby PixelPaul » Thu May 12, 2005 4:52 am

I have an older mid to late 80's Gitane that has a complete Campagnolo Triomphe group. I know Triomphe was the bottom of the line group back then, just wondering if anyone knows the approximate value of the group itself. Thanks.

looking to get rid of the bike and get a new one. It works OK, but want Ergo levers on a new bike. Don't think the complete bike is worth much, the only thing of value might be the Triomphe group and maybe the Cinelli 64 bars and 1A stem. I was just curious about what would be an estimate as to the value of a complete Triomphe group.

value of triomphe group

Value of grouppo depends. I bought a group last year for $135 (shipped). it came with a frameset and wheels/bars attached.

the headset and bottom bracket and crank accoutrements ( dust caps and bolts ) are very valuable and might fetch $80. brakes might fetch $80. all the rest all put together might fetch $80.

if you sell it all together, probably sub-$200.

I love my trek 510, it rides just great. i hate those campy pedals, which slip like crazy when it rains. some crooked bikeshop had already stripped the dust caps and crank bolts, though, on my bike.
