Heard any Campy news lately?

'12 line up

Finally the TT stuff is here!!! And there is budget aluminum versions of the shifters (very slick), and brake levers(also really nice) for the 10spd and 11spd guys, as well as new TT cranksets. This is good news for TT and tri guys.

But for me, the expansion of CX line up is the exciting news. Canti brakes and CX versions of the Bora and Bullet (tubeless ready) wheelsets! And there are still CX cranksets in carbon and alloy for both 10 and 11 spd. And the claimed weight on those cranks is light! I only wish the alloy CX cranks were available in black.

The new Bullet wheels are already sold out from Campy. I heard OEMs snagged a big chunk of them. The rest went to distributors, so they will be out there. I haven't had a chance to get word from Fulrum, who are now headquartered by themselves in FL, if the same fate fell their Red Winds, also available in CX versions.

I like that Athena has added black.

So, you can budget build a 10spd TT or CX bike with Veloce, or 11spd with Athena, in silver or black, and then upgrade to carbon as the budget allows. Hmmmm. Anyone else notice Felt's steel road bike is Athena equipped?

I am not as upset about the new power shift cranks as I was last year as it is clearly an attempt at Campy trying to make it back into the OEM market.

I hate any part in black, I guess I am just old school and prefer traditional brushed or polished aluminum. And as far as traditional goes am I the only one or are there othewrs out there that feel if Campy is going to make just one hubset offering that they could at least bring back the 1999-2006 Record hubs, and even if they wanted to add black as an option they would sell like hotcakes. I just don't understand Campagnolo sometimes, Love them but some times just don't understand the choices.

I agree.
Black is awful.
Why do manufacturers make all their stuff in black?????

Bring back the Record hubs in shiny anodised alu. I have a pair of 2006 Chorus hubs in shiny alu, and they are a beautiful pair of hubs.

The CX canti's look disappointing to me.

I'd be willing to bet those are made by Tektro. You'd think that with Campy's history of producing some of the most beautiful components, they'd have chosen something a little nicer to license/copy.
