front derailleur question

hi, i'm getting an 11 speed compact crankset fitted will i need a post 2004 or 05 QS Ct front derailleur?

Your better option is getting a FD that has been standard for the past couple of years thats universal - compact or regular.

QS didn't show up until 2007. Second choice would be a QS Ct FD.

Third choice would be an earlier Ct FD.

thanks bikerjulio, yup that's what i'll aim for. but will it be compatible with my front shifter that's not QS. i think mine is probably a 04/05 maybe even 06. they all look the same on the catalogs.

It will work. the primary difference with a QS lever is faster takeup (smaller dead spot) when shifting up.
