Record 10 speed upgrade levers + front mech

I am running the full version of Campy's Record QS groupset. I believe it is the 2007/2008 model. I wanted to upgrade only my levers to the new Centaur levers due to the ergonomics and suitability for larger hands. I noted on a website somewhere that although the Centaur levers are 10 speed, they will not work with a QS front derailleur (mine is the original Record QS 10 speed carbon.)

Has anyone had a similar experience or able to shed some light on the matter? I am happy to purchase the accompanying Centaur front derailleur, though would be even happier to keep my Record 10 speed carbon one.

Please let me know if you made the conversion, how the groupset is running? I intend racing on it. My preference for the newer lever is due to better braking and climbing out of the saddle.

There has been a lot of nonsense spread about QS and compatibility.

Your new model lever will work fine with the QS FD. don't sweat it.
