8 speed cassette on ten speed hub.....

For riders who still use 8-speed systems

No. The 8 speed cassette wil not fit on the newer wheels.

Below is what you can do to still use the rest of your 8 speed drivetrain:

1. Buy the Campy wheelset
2. Buy lower end Campy 9 speed cassette that has individual cogs and spacers.
3. Buy Campy 8 speed spacer kit from Campy or Wheels Mfg.
4. Replace 9 speed spacers with the 8 speed spacers and eliminate one of the 9 speed cogs,preferably the largest cog to maintain your shift ramp positioning of the first 8 cogs.

there you go.

Been there. Done that. Works great! I can even switch wheelsets between an older 8 speed Athena hub and a "converted" 10 speed with no need for rear derailleur "fine tuning" at all.
