Brake pads

Postby Nottyfruit » Tue Sep 27, 2011 4:02 am

hi,
i've got a couple of questions concerning above

i) anyone used BBB brake pads before? how do they stack up against kool/swiss stop? i know swiss stop is pricey.

ii) found a set on ebay. it says BBS-03C meant to fit up to 2003 brake calipers. trouble is i'm not sure what year my calipers are? they're silver and they're definitely not the skeleton type. they've got the record word with black background on top of the smaller campagnolo word on the bottom. could be 2003 or 04 or 05? will it be compatible?

thanks for any help i can get.
cheers.

Hi Ken,
I can't help you with your specific enquiry, sorry, but I thought I'd answer anyway!

I have no experience of any pads other than the standard Campagnolo pads. I've never seen any reason to stop using them. They fit the shoes and work well. I have absolutely no complaints about them. I use these:

Why do you not use the Campagnolo pads? Am I missing something? Are others better?

Regards,
Mick.

hi mick,
no reason for not using them other than they're pricey. there are a few after market brands that's way cheaper and work just as well if not better. it's only BBB that i've never heard of so i'm trying to find out if anyone in this forum has used them....

none i guess.
