Fork, Headset and Headtube question

hi, i was wondering if anyone can tell me whether there are adaptors available for a one inch steer tube to be fitted into an inch eight headset and headtube? i know it's quite easily done to the other way round for an inch steertube, headset to fit an inch eight stem.
