C-Record 1st gen derailleur appraisal

Hi there.

I bought an old second hand bike which was a total mess with no value except that it had attached this C-record rear derailleur.

It´s quite a bit damaged, but it seems to be an early model 1st gen, the ones with the solid cage and engraved logo..

Inside the parallelogram there is a number 20 and a 4.
I´ve see some other ones with a 21 and a 84, so, I am assuming mine is from 1984 because of the 4? But, the 20 looks like it could be an earlier alpha model??

As you see, it´s quite scratched, with some bites and the upper body bush (stopper plate) is a little bit damaged.
Just as it is, how much could I ask for it?

Would it be worth dismantleing it, and try to polish and restore the scratches?
I guess the anodized finish would disapear.. and it could be worst..

May be sell the parts?

Thank you!
