Need Help with Some Vintage Parts

Postby campnewbie » Sun Dec 18, 2011 10:57 pm

I recently inherited a box of what appear to be vintage Campagnolo parts in excellent condition (in their original boxes it appears) . I am not familiar with these, but I understand that these parts are highly collectable and I am hoping someone here can help me identify what I have from some pictures I've taken, which you can see here... http://bit.ly/rQ6XHP

I'm probably going to sell them once I get a handle on what I have, so if you're interested in buying let me know.

Thank in advance for your help.

They are mostly Super Record as the boxes say. New Record derailers made at the same time were a step down and didn't have the black finish, they were straight chrome. I new a racer that couldn't get a Super Record he needed for a race so he bought the new record and used a magic marker to blacken the right parts.

The one crank is a super record (also as it says) the other crank may be a C-Record. I don't know. The C-Record replaced the Super/Nuovo stuff but weighed a tad more. The other stuff, seat post, brakes, look like what one might have got in a S-R gruppo back then but sometimes substitutions were made. I note the wheels say Record, which is probably correct. I don't know if they made an S-R hub set. I'm not a Campy expert, just old as the hills.

I'd give $150 for the rear derailer but you'd probably want to keep together. Are you considering a sale?
