6-12-05--The Santa Rosa Cycling Club's annual Terrible Two double century takes riders over some of the toughest climbs in Northern California. Hard enough to do as a "real" ride with rest stops and sag vehicles. But we once again chose to tackle the second part of the course as an unsupported "training" ride: 136 miles with 9,000+ feet of climbing, most of it on rough, potholed roads at steep gradients. We were rewarded this year with great weather (temps peaked just below 90F), a nice tailwind on the California coast, and the camaraderie of our fellow riders. Presented below, photos and videos from the ride, with commentary (coming soon) by Campy Only's Eric Norris (and yes, we once again slipped in a gratuitous shot or two of ourselves ...).
